Can I paste an Instagram post link?+
Yes. Paste a public post or reel link without logging in as a visitor. The importer uses a private operator session to retrieve top-level comments. You can draw from the retrieved top-level comments. Completeness is not verified.
Does this verify likes and shares?+
No. This release checks imported comment content and timestamps only. Likes, shares, and follows remain unverified, and uploaded comments are not authenticated against Instagram.
How is the winner selected?+
Each eligible username gets one entry. LuckyCommentPicker uses your browser’s cryptographic random generator with rejection sampling to give each remaining entrant an equal chance. Winners aren’t repeated across rounds in the same locked pool.
Is the draw record tamper-proof?+
No. It records the frozen pool, rules, timestamps, winners and pool hash, but it is generated locally and can be edited outside the app. It is a useful record, not independent certification.
Where do my comments go?+
Uploaded files stay in this browser tab. Post-link imports pass through the private retrieval server, which keeps successful results in memory for up to five minutes. The server uses its private Instagram session; visitors never receive it. Comments aren’t saved in browser storage.
